This is a full-time, para-professional level position responsible for teaching, training, and assisting individuals in developing skills for independent living. The role involves coordinating health and medical needs, fostering community participation, assisting with advocacy, preparing diet plans, writing intervention plans, providing safety skills training, managing personal business and property skills, budgeting, transportation, and daily living skills training. The Specialist will also orient new individuals, assess skills, collect data, supervise finances, provide a supportive atmosphere, train new staff, and ensure residences meet cleanliness, safety, and health standards. This role requires adherence to schedules, maintaining confidentiality, and completing all necessary documentation.
