About The Position

The Support Tech provides assistance and support to staff in Surgical Services in an expanded Support Tech role. The position cleans and services rooms, removes waste, and completes special projects as assigned. It inventories and restocks unit supplies and obtains supplies and rental units. The Support Tech also supports adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and caregivers by performing simple patient care activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma, equivalent education (GED), post-secondary education, or one year of work experience.
• One year of experience as a Support Technician or in another healthcare-related position.
• Hold American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.

• Visual color acuity, depending on the role in specific units.
