About The Position

StarChild Academy is seeking a part-time Support Childcare Teacher to work collaboratively with teachers across various classrooms. The role supports a positive, engaging learning environment and promotes children’s holistic development. The school provides educators with resources and career development opportunities to help them thrive. This position requires Level 2 background screening in accordance with Florida law; candidates may need to complete screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Six months of prior experience working in a certified child development center.
Prior experience with the assigned age group.
Meet specific requirements set by minimum state standards and/or accreditation.
Ability to use standard office equipment such as a laptop computer and smartphone.
Love working with children.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree in early childhood development or CDA certification; preferred but not required.
One year of prior experience working in a certified child development center is preferred.
