About The Position

The Gardner School of Union Row is hiring a part-time closing Support Teacher to work in its preschool facility. The role supports children’s development through meaningful interactions and helps maintain a safe, organized classroom environment. The Support Teacher steps into classrooms to assist Assistant Teachers during breaks or absences, helps maintain child-to-staff ratios, and completes classroom tasks while following school policies, procedures, and licensing regulations. The position requires a flexible, team-oriented approach and respectful, professional communication with teachers and leadership.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in early childhood settings.
• CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Meet all state-specific licensing and experience requirements.
• Frequently lift, carry, or hold children and infants weighing 10 to 60 pounds.
• Ability to bend, reach, and move freely between classrooms.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
