Support Staff
About The Position
Marrakech is hiring Support Staff in North Haven, Connecticut, to support individuals with developmental and physical disabilities in a residential group home setting. The role helps people live safe, fulfilling lives and builds trusting relationships that encourage independence and personal choice. Work includes assisting with daily living skills, supporting medical needs, following individualized support and behavior plans, promoting community involvement, and collaborating with a supportive team. Overnight staff complete routine safety checks. Marrakech provides paid training, and prior experience supporting people with disabilities is helpful but not required. The organization provides person-centered support and advocacy to enhance quality of life and promote independence with dignity, respect, and meaningful connection.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid Connecticut driver’s license.
- Ability to obtain DDS Medication Certification, CPR, and First Aid.
- Reliable and compassionate approach, with motivation to make a difference.
Nice To Haves
- Experience supporting individuals with disabilities is helpful but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily living skills, including personal care, meals, and routines.
- Support medical needs and appointments.
- Follow individualized support and behavior plans.
- Encourage community involvement and social engagement.
- Complete routine overnight safety checks for overnight staff.
- Work collaboratively as part of a compassionate, supportive team.
