About The Position

Amber Brooke Farms is seeking a hands-on Support Services Team Lead to oversee and participate in daily support operations at its agritourism destination. This physically demanding working-lead role coordinates daily assignments, supervises team members, and helps ensure maintenance, custodial services, parking operations, and farm-related projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards. The Team Lead works alongside the team throughout each shift rather than performing a desk-based supervisory role. The role includes leading and assisting with maintenance, groundskeeping, custodial work, parking, event setup and breakdown, and seasonal farm projects. The Team Lead helps maintain clean, safe, organized, and guest-ready facilities and grounds; supports equipment and facility upkeep; and responds to changing operational needs. The position also involves directing traffic and assisting guests during busy periods, coordinating team assignments and performance, and reinforcing safety and accountability. Work is primarily outdoors in a fast-paced agritourism environment and may involve Florida heat, humidity, rain, and changing weather. The position requires prolonged standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, and other repetitive physical activities. Weekend availability is required, with availability for holidays, festivals, special events, and extended hours based on business needs.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience performing hands-on, physically demanding work.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate, direct, and hold team members accountable.
  • Willingness and ability to perform the same physical duties assigned to team members.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple assignments in a changing environment.
  • Ability to work independently, solve problems, and make sound operational decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional, team-oriented attitude.
  • Dependability, punctuality, adaptability, and comfort working under pressure.
  • Ability to safely operate authorized farm vehicles and equipment after appropriate training.
  • Valid driver's license required for vehicle operation.
  • Ability to lift and carry 40 pounds or more as required by assigned tasks and perform physically demanding work.
  • Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions, including Florida heat, humidity, and rain.
  • Weekend availability, including availability for holidays, festivals, special events, and extended hours based on business needs.

Nice To Haves

  • 2–5 years of supervisory or team leadership experience in maintenance, facilities, agriculture, hospitality, operations, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of maintenance, equipment operation, groundskeeping, or facility upkeep.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and work alongside team members responsible for maintenance, parking, custodial services, and farm-related projects.
  • Assign daily tasks, establish priorities, and ensure work is completed efficiently and accurately.
  • Assist with employee scheduling, training, onboarding, and performance feedback.
  • Demonstrate proper work techniques, safe equipment operation, and efficient task execution.
  • Monitor employee productivity, attendance, performance, and adherence to company standards.
  • Perform assigned support services duties when staffing or operational needs require additional assistance.
  • Promote accountability, teamwork, urgency, and safety.
  • Maintain clean, safe, organized, and guest-ready facilities and grounds.
  • Load, unload, transport, lift, and move equipment, materials, and supplies.
  • Coordinate and participate in setup and breakdown for festivals, special events, seasonal attractions, and guest activity areas.
  • Adjust priorities during high-volume periods and support multiple departments to help complete assignments on time.
  • Identify operational challenges and implement practical solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Perform and oversee routine maintenance, minor repairs, basic troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, and preventative maintenance.
  • Coordinate maintenance projects and monitor the condition of buildings, equipment, tools, and guest areas.
  • Ensure equipment is operated, maintained, cleaned, and stored properly.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors when necessary.
  • Lead and participate in parking operations during weekends, festivals, and special events.
  • Direct traffic, coordinate parking, support parking team members during peak arrival and departure periods, and monitor parking areas for safety and congestion.
  • Assist guests professionally while maintaining a safe and organized environment.
  • Clean restrooms, public areas, staff facilities, and other designated spaces as needed.
  • Ensure custodial assignments are completed thoroughly and on schedule, address cleanliness deficiencies, collect trash, remove waste, and monitor custodial supplies and equipment.
  • Participate in grounds maintenance, fencing, seasonal installations, and other farm-related projects.
  • Move equipment, supplies, furniture, signage, and event materials.
  • Prepare seasonal attractions and festival areas, and support opening preparations and post-closing cleanup.
  • Operate authorized farm vehicles, utility vehicles, and equipment safely and in accordance with company policies.
  • Enforce safety policies, operating procedures, and equipment safety requirements.
  • Identify and address unsafe conditions, equipment concerns, and potential hazards.
  • Ensure team members use appropriate personal protective equipment and follow safe work practices.
  • Participate in incident response, documentation, and corrective actions.
