The Support Services Assistant will be responsible for arranging transportation services for designated staff for essential government business, ensuring vehicles are clean and prepared for use. This role also involves processing agency mail and special packages, including receipts, inter-agency routing, processing outbound mail, and making deliveries to the US Post Office. The assistant will provide periodic reports as required. Additionally, they will arrange for services such as printing, publication delivery, in-house reproduction, procurement of general office supplies, and manage their distribution and stock levels. This includes reviewing stock levels, purging or disposing of items that have exceeded their useful life (with appropriate approvals for government assets), maintaining inventory of equipment and supplies, and keeping records of administrative property, transportation equipment, government vehicles, and disposal of excess property. The role also requires compiling and distributing statistical data, maintaining service records and receipts, analyzing equipment usage, and projecting the needs for equipment and supplies.
