About The Position

Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Support Crew members support theater guests with food and beverage service while maintaining the company’s hospitality and safety standards. The role helps create a safe, clean, distraction-free, and enjoyable environment. Responsibilities also include theater, lobby, and restroom cleaning; opening and closing duties as assigned; stocking supplies; completing prep and side work; and assisting with other operational tasks. This is a tip-shared role in the listed venues: 80% of total tips go to the FOH and 20% are split among the BOH. In New York, Colorado, and Seaport, the FOH participates in one tip share.

Requirements

• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, at least three days per week, including at least one weekend day.
• Ability to work collaboratively and cautiously in a loud, sometimes dark, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to bend, duck, crouch, walk up and down stairs, carry multiple plates or trays, and deliver food while limiting disruptions.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at one time and repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Ability to maintain physical stamina and coordination in a fast-paced setting.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to climb stairs.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in hospitality or guest services.
• Prior food and beverage safety or handling experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support company safety standards.
• Conduct food quality checks and deliver food and beverage orders to the correct seats using theater floor maps.
• Know the Alamo menu and common allergens, and take necessary safety precautions.
• Serve alcohol safely, including checking IDs when delivering drinks and monitoring guest consumption in accordance with local and state regulations.
• Check guest tickets to confirm guests are in the correct seats.
• Maintain a cheerful, courteous manner and communicate efficiently with guests, teammates, Production staff, Greeters, and Managers.
• Anticipate guest needs and monitor notifications for guest requests.
• Support guests while limiting disruptions.
• Clean theaters, lobbies, and restrooms, and perform assigned opening and closing duties to maintain cleanliness in high-touch areas.
• Help identify guest issues and report them to management.
• Anticipate and maintain appropriate supply levels, complete prep and side work, and assist with operational tasks as needed.
• Complete tasks efficiently and with a sense of urgency.
• Demonstrate strong teamwork and follow Alamo policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Keep up to date on local food and beverage compliance regulations, safety courses, and assigned online training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
