About The Position

Alamo Drafthouse Cinema’s Support Crew supports theater guests with food and beverage service, upholding the company’s hospitality and safety standards to help provide a safe, clean, distraction-free, and enjoyable environment. The role includes delivering orders to guests’ seats, responding to guest needs, maintaining cleanliness and supplies, and assisting with theater operations. This seasonal role is based at 22806 US HWY 281 NORTH, San Antonio, Texas 78258, and offers compensation of $16.00–$19.00. It is a tip-shared role; tip-pool arrangements vary by venue.

Requirements

• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, at least three days per week, including at least one weekend day.
• Ability to work collaboratively and move cautiously in a loud, sometimes dark, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to bend, duck, crouch, climb stairs, walk up and down stairs, carry multiple plates or trays, and deliver food while limiting disruptions.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout a shift.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during a shift.
• Ability to maintain physical stamina and coordination in a fast-paced setting.
• Keep up to date on local food and beverage compliance regulations, safety courses, and assigned online training.
• Reliable transportation.

• Prior experience in hospitality or guest services.
• Prior food and beverage safety or handling experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support company safety standards.
• Conduct food quality checks and deliver food and beverage orders to the correct seats using theater floor maps.
• Know the menu and common allergens, and take appropriate safety precautions.
• Serve alcohol safely, including checking IDs when delivering drinks and monitoring guest consumption in accordance with local and state regulations.
• Check guest tickets to ensure guests are in the correct seats.
• Maintain a cheerful, courteous disposition and communicate efficiently with guests, teammates, Production staff, Greeters, and Managers.
• Anticipate guest needs and monitor notifications for guest requests.
• Support guests while limiting disruptions to the theater experience.
• Clean theaters, the lobby, and restrooms; complete assigned opening and closing duties and maintain cleanliness across high-touch areas.
• Help identify guest issues and report them to management.
• Maintain appropriate supply levels, complete preparation and side work, and assist with operational tasks as needed.
• Complete tasks efficiently and with urgency.
• Demonstrate strong teamwork and knowledge of Alamo policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
