Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a demand planning/forecasting role
• Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner
• Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures
• Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge
• Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrate proficiency in the use of basic office equipment, ten key, and entry level accounting terminology
• Demonstrate proficient skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; Intermediate Excel ability, specifically with knowledge of lookup and reference functions, as well as pivot tables; Ability to create spreadsheets and work with formulas
• Demonstrate the ability to maintain professional relationships with internal and external clients while providing high levels of service by communicating clear and timely responses to issues, requests, problems, and regular reporting
• Demonstrate the ability to successfully function as a member of a team through communication while engaging in self directed resourcefulness and analytical thinking
• Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities which permits the employee to discern verbal instructions and communicate effectively with others in person and by telephone
• Sufficient visual and mental acuity which permits the employee to comprehend written work instructions and make determination of necessary actions to take to meet the presentation standards for the facility
• This position requires the ability to spend 90 % of the time viewing computer monitors
• Sufficient manual dexterity which permits the employee to operate standard office equipment
• Sufficient body mobility, flexibility, and agility to occasionally lift and carry objects up to 30 pounds, and to work in an office environment requiring sitting for long periods of time

Responsibilities

• Maintain item and vendor information and constraints in ERP software
• Forecast and identify demand for multiple warehouses
• Create and maintain purchase orders
• Negotiate freight pricing and terms and oversee the timely delivery of orders needed to fulfill customer needs
• Strength in inventory management by assessing new and open orders, redirecting inventory between warehouses, and managing the forecast for future demand in order to provide customers with acceptable order fulfillment
• When something significant changes in the supply chain or demand, reacting quickly and solving any supply chain problems that arise is a must
• Maintain relationships with Suppliers and communicate regularly with internal team in order to avoid unforeseen changes, excessive inventory and out of stocks
• Identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
• Evaluate vendor performance and provide feedback to responsible brand managers
• Liaise regularly with brand team regarding brand assortment and product line changes
• Communicate with internal departments regarding product availability, delivery schedules, and item changes
• Maintain all forecasting and demand planning for future replenishment
• Consider transportation methods so product arrives timely, and costs are within negotiated or market rates
• Create and maintain sales reports for management and analyze sales figures to project future requirements
• Create and maintain purchase orders with awareness to lead time and transportation, constraints, etc
• Fill rate and appropriate inventory turns are executed to goal
• Liaise with Accounting to ensure purchase order and invoice accuracy
• Assess supplier profiles and analyze opportunities
• Audit freight invoices and paperwork to ensure our internal freight cost is accurate or recommend price changes based on transportation market
• Communicate with management regarding risk assessments and mitigation activities
• Develop effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns
• Manage relationships with Suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery, and compliance of terms of contracts
• Monitor stock levels in all warehouses to ensure proper code dates and inventory turns
• Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies
• Verify accuracy of new item origination and system entry
• Prepare and submit detailed reports for slow inventory, close code, SKU ration, transportation constraints, etc
• Be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner
