About The Position

Regions Hospital’s Supply Chain team focuses on using resources effectively and efficiently to deliver the right product, in the right quantity, at the right time, to the right place throughout the hospital. The Supply Chain Services Specialist assists the Supply Chain Department by coordinating with hospital leaders and staff to meet medical supply and inventory needs, placing inventory orders through Lawson EDI with vendors, troubleshooting purchasing and inventory problems, and distributing supplies and equipment throughout the hospital campus. Other duties may be assigned.

This is a 1.00 FTE position with a Monday–Friday schedule from 4:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The salary rate is $20.94 per hour.

Requirements

• Previous experience in supply/inventory distribution and/or customer service is preferred; one year of post-secondary education may substitute for work experience.
• Ability to read, write, and follow directions and/or oral instructions in English.
• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively and independently.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Technology literacy is a plus.
• Previous experience in supply/inventory distribution and/or customer service is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet regularly with hospital leaders and staff to ensure department medical supply and inventory needs are met.
• Place inventory orders with vendors via Lawson EDI.
• Troubleshoot purchasing and inventory problems.
• Distribute supplies and equipment throughout the hospital campus.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
