About The Position

Regions Hospital’s Supply Chain team focuses on the effective and efficient use of resources to deliver the right product, in the right quantity, at the right time, to the right place throughout the hospital. The Supply Chain Services Specialist assists the Supply Chain Department by meeting with hospital leaders and staff to ensure medical supply and inventory needs are met, placing inventory orders with vendors through Lawson EDI, troubleshooting purchasing and inventory problems, and distributing supplies and equipment throughout the hospital campus. Other duties may be assigned. This position is 0.60 FTE and is scheduled Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The salary rate is $20.94 per hour. The role requires the ability to lift up to 30 pounds and to read, write, and follow directions or oral instructions in English. Requirements

Previous experience in supply or inventory distribution and/or customer service is preferred; one year of post-secondary education may substitute for work experience.
Ability to read, write, and follow directions and/or oral instructions in English.
Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively and independently.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Technology literacy is a plus.
Previous experience in supply/inventory distribution and/or customer service is preferred.

Responsibilities

Meet regularly with hospital leaders and staff to ensure department medical supplies and inventory needs are met.
Place inventory orders with vendors via Lawson EDI.
Troubleshoot purchasing and inventory problems.
Distribute supplies and equipment throughout the hospital campus.
Perform other duties as assigned.
