The purpose of this role is to work with the Supply Management Quality group to improve the global quality signature & performance for the suppliers of concern by reducing the number of supplier escapes and OEM Interventions through the deployment of various initiatives. Provides strategic direction for systems, projects, and programs in area of expertise. Contributes to the company objective by reaching expected results Provides cross-functional guidance and expertise to various team members. Is seen as a leading expert within their field. The position is based at our Longueuil location, from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours and exclusively on-site.

Requirements

  • Technical degree and minimum 10 years’ experience or Bachelor’s degree and minimum 8 years’ experience.
  • Field of studies: Manufacturing, Engineering, Aerospace, Quality
  • Bilingual French/English
  • System knowledge such as SAP
  • Experience with PFMEA/DFMEA techniques and PPAP
  • Experience using the Six Sigma approach or other continuous improvement techniques
  • This position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Review/understand/identify issues & leading contributors impacting the product quality and flow
  • Identify required corrective actions/improvement opportunities and drive change accordingly in a timely fashion
  • Synthesize and analyze the data to understand contributors and systemic issues causing product escapes and OEM interventions
  • Engage the suppliers in defining and deploying the required actions & strategies aimed at eliminating escapes & OEM interventions
  • Steer the team throughout the various phases (data analysis, set priorities, events organization, etc.)
  • Close actions and reach expected results
  • Follow up and report on progress
  • Address roadblocks
  • Escalate issues as needed
  • Organize & lead process walks or other relevant activities at supplier facility
  • Drive process maturity (repeatable and stable)
  • Liaise with various internal organizations to ensure support is provided as required
  • Establish required communications with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. CAB, business reviews, EMM…)
