About The Position

As a compliance & quality assurance specialist, you will ensure that the quality of products, processes and services from P&WC aftermarket network and customer service are compliant with internal and regulatory requirements and are continuously improving. In this role, you will be required to manage and conduct quality system internal audits to validate conformance of internal Customer Services Operating Procedures (CSOPs) as these relate to the QPM via the QMSPs and DAPMs - with specific emphasis on those relevant to CAR 561 as well as CAR 521. You may act as liaison/facilitator with other internal or external auditors (i.e., Enterprise Quality Audit Team (EQAT), TCCA, Customer, Registrar, etc.), as well as the Business. Serves as an internal Advisor to support the Business. Additionally, you will be responsible for escape oversight at multiple MRO sites, working closely with local escape leaders. This includes raising non-conformances and following up on RFA closure, including evaluation of RCCA to ensure these are appropriate, robust and permanent. You will also ensure RFA resolutions are completed within prescribed deadlines. Being capable of exercising influential leadership skills in this role is imperative to improving the quality processes. Informal leadership requires the successful candidate to collaborate effectively to achieve improvements, without being directive in their approach.

Requirements

  • Technical degree and minimum 10 years’ experience or Bachelor’s degree and minimum 5 years’ experience.
  • Field of studies: Manufacturing, Maintenance, Engineering, Aerospace, Quality
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environment and support multiple issues concurrently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite: excel, word, ppt
  • Occasional travel required
  • This position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and conducting internal Quality System audits, using appropriate tools, techniques and processes.
  • Interpreting Quality Requirements and applying these to assess auditee's processes and functions.
  • Document findings (e.g., non-conformances, opportunities for improvement, etc.) in appropriate system and assign accountable stakeholder and resolution deadlines.
  • For external audits, act as a liaison/facilitator with external auditors; supports the follow-through activities such as any corrective actions required with appropriate internal Business Units and stakeholders.
  • Monitor the advancement of open CARs raised to ensure associated stakeholders follow-through with RFA-related tasks in a timely manner; send "Action Required" communications, to ensure CARs are resolved within prescribed timeframe; Close out RFAs when corrective actions have been successfully implemented; Manage RFA escalations as required.
  • Prepares for and leads/participates in various Quality meetings to drive actions and problem resolution
  • Conducts regular KPI analysis and identifies systemic issues to address
  • Serves as an Advisory role to the Business, providing guidance and clarifications on multiple inquiries related to quality escapes and audits
  • Supports aftermarket supplier qualification / certification.
  • Initiates quality issue resolution and corrective actions.
  • Proactively supports the RTX CORE program to ensure healthy continuous improvement and sustainability.
