About The Position

The Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible for planning and monitoring production schedules for manufacturing and outside vendors. This role involves managing the workflow for each operation according to manufacturing sequences, expediting delayed operations, and adjusting schedules to meet unforeseen conditions. The specialist will also prepare and analyze production reports, minimize inventory investment while meeting customer service expectations, and continuously monitor work order instructions to improve processes. Key responsibilities include issuing requisitions for necessary materials, equipment, and supplies, evaluating local supplier performance for timely deliveries and inventory maintenance, and adhering to purchasing department budgets. The role also requires reviewing purchase order claims and contracts, reporting findings to Corporate Procurement Leadership, and collaborating with them to assess market demands and conditions to ensure supply chain stability. The specialist must comply with Corporate Purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures, fully understand and execute Quality System Requirements, and review/evaluate specifications for issuing materials and supplies.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of and competency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent prioritization skills
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, & work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and strong understanding of information ordering
  • Strong analytical skills and material knowledge
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Understanding financial impacts of the Supply Chain
  • Minimum two (2) years of supply chain experience within a manufacturing environment required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations, or Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience required

Responsibilities
