About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining the quality and accuracy of inventory within the supply chain. The associate will track and identify freight, conduct audits, inspect products, research discrepancies, and prepare reports. They will also be involved in the maintenance of equipment and the processing of damaged goods according to food safety guidelines. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure work assignments are completed efficiently and effectively, while adhering to company policies and ethical standards. The role emphasizes a culture of respect, teamwork, integrity, customer service, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 6 months experience in Walmart Supply Chain clerical related responsibilities (e.g., filing, data entry) using computer applications (e.g., email, spreadsheet, word processing)
  • OR 1 year’s experience in clerical related responsibilities (e.g., filing, data entry) using computer applications (e.g., email, spreadsheet, word processing).

Responsibilities

  • Maintains quality and accuracy of inventory by tracking and identifying freight manually or with computer software.
  • Conducts audits on shipments and warehouse cycle schedules.
  • Inspects freight and products for correct quantities and conditions.
  • Researches discrepancies.
  • Prepares, reviews, and analyzes reports by entering data such as inventory adjustments, recall, vendor profile, cycle test item details, audits, and accuracy information.
  • Moves freight manually and with powered equipment.
  • Provides basic maintenance to equipment (e.g., cleaning, inspecting, changing labels and ribbons).
  • Maintains and documents inventory of salvaged, donated, and less-than-case freight by tracking and collecting damage adjustments, processing damaged items, and separating and storing damaged freight according to food safety audit guidelines.
  • Processes and submits paperwork.
  • Creates and maintains organized files.
  • Identifies and resolves discrepancies in records or files.
  • Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources.
  • Collaborates with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners.
  • Identifies priorities, deadlines, and expectations.
  • Carries out tasks, communicating progress and information.
