UI Health Care’s Material Services department is hiring a full-time Supply Chain Coordinator to support hospital supply chain operations on the second shift, scheduled from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM with rotating weekends and holidays. The position provides functional and administrative supervision of second-shift hospital stores staff and resolves Omnicell issues throughout the organization. The coordinator receives, stores, and distributes medical supplies; updates inventory and receiving transactions in PeopleSoft; and replenishes Omnicell automated supply cabinets while maintaining inventory balances and troubleshooting issues. The role responds professionally to clinic customers’ questions and concerns, assesses issues, and resolves problems promptly. It also helps determine second-shift staffing needs and arranges staff coverage for vacations and leaves while avoiding premium wages where possible. The position manages inventory discrepancies, locates missing products, and adjusts electronic inventory records to charge out products accurately. As manager on duty for the second-shift receiving dock, the coordinator oversees the daily Owens & Minor delivery, verifies received products, and notifies Procurement of discrepancies so the organization is charged only for products received. The coordinator also reviews Omnicell usage reports, tracks stockouts, and recommends par-level adjustments.
