About The Position

Plante Moran’s management consulting team helps clients address critical business needs through integrated solutions for growth, resource leverage, and cost and risk mitigation. The Supply Chain & Operations Senior Consultant works with clients to improve supply chain and operational performance. The position is based in the Southfield, Michigan area, or requires willingness to relocate there, and involves frequent regional travel, including approximately 50% overnight travel. Plante Moran follows a principally in-person “Workplace for Your Day” model, with flexibility to determine the optimal working environment with a supervisor and team. Depending on applicable experience, the role may be filled as a Consultant or Senior Consultant.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of supply chain-related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a business-related field.
• Reside in the Southfield, Michigan area or be willing to relocate.
• Be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, except for qualified candidates bilingual in Japanese and English or Chinese and English.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement improved sourcing and purchasing strategies.
• Optimize warehousing and logistics processes.
• Analyze client data and trends to identify improvement opportunities.
• Create business process maps to identify efficiencies and best practices.
• Design and analyze distribution strategies.
• Identify and implement operational improvement initiatives.
• Reduce inventory and lead times.
• Enhance scheduling and planning processes.
• Support project management offices (PMO).
