About The Position
The Global Supply Chain Supply Planning Consultant is responsible for the day-to-day operational success and overall analytics of the collateral planning team. The role works closely with Operations and Marketing to ensure materials are available in the right place at the right time, efficiently and effectively. The consultant identifies opportunities and creates and implements solutions that benefit Verizon, including by leveraging AI tools. Responsibilities include inventory and replenishment planning, demand forecasting, KPI tracking, master data maintenance, order testing, and ad hoc reporting. The role also supports supplier performance management, inventory financial planning, technical product-to-order mapping, and requirements gathering, testing, and maintenance for the SAP IBP planning tool.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or six or more years of work experience.
- Four or more years of relevant experience, demonstrated through work and/or military experience or specialized training.
- Experience with AI tools and workflow automation to modernize traditional workflows.
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets capabilities, including data modeling, macros, and complex queries.

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Data Analytics, or a related business field.
- A strong continuous improvement mindset and a track record of challenging existing processes and driving measurable efficiency gains.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence cross-functional teams and external 3PL vendors.
- 3PL vendor management or Warehouse Management System (WMS) operational experience.
- Experience in high-volume consumer technology, device launching, or retail fulfillment environments.
- SAP certification or Lean Six Sigma / Process Improvement certification.
Responsibilities
- Review inventory positions and usage to identify stock-out risks and propose mitigation tactics.
- Analyze usage reports to develop future forecasts and efficiently plan inventory purchases.
- Maintain master data for inventory items and forecasting attributes.
- Create and manage monthly inventory overstock and obsolescence reporting.
- Performance-manage 3PL and supply partners on timely receipts, shipments, and reporting.
- Support technical mapping of products to orders to ensure the correct materials are utilized.
- Perform weekly inventory valuation and projections to manage working capital and guide financial planning.
- Perform ad hoc scenario analysis at leadership’s request to support decision-making.
- Maintain historical reporting on Supply Chain operational and financial KPIs for supplier-finding validations, compliance reporting, and analysis.
- Support requirements gathering, testing, and maintenance of the SAP IBP planning tool build-out.
- Identify opportunities and implement solutions that drive benefits to Verizon while leveraging AI tools.
