UI Health Care department of Material Services is seeking a full-time Supply Chain Coordinator on 1st shift. This position will be scheduled 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with rotating weekends. The position supports supply chain operations in the hospital storeroom. The major functions of the position is to provide functional and administrative supervisor of the second shift staff members in hospital stores. The position is also responsible for resolving Omnicell issues throughout the organization. Physically receive, store, and distribute medical supplies. Operate hand controlled material handling equipment normally associated with unloading and loading trucks in a shipping and receiving dock setting as well as using push carts to move medical supplies throughout the building as required. Update inventory and receipt transactions within PeopleSoft. Replenish the Omnicell automated supply medical cabinets and update inventory balances as required, troubleshoot as necessary. Respond to questions and concerns of clinic customers, assess issues and solve problems in a timely professional manner. Determine staffing needs for the unit on second shift, work with staff to trade hours to accommodate vacations/leaves without paying premium wages to cover the work that needs to be completed. Manage budget when identifying inventory discrepancies, locate missing product and accurately make adjustment in electronic inventory system to appropriately charge out for products. Manager on duty for receiving dock on second shift for the major Owens & Minor (65% of hospital supplies) delivery truck daily. In charge of verifying receiving of product, notify procurement of discrepancies to ensure only charged for products received. Review usage reports from Omnicells, track product stock outs and make par level recommendations accordingly.
