About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining freight inventory by inspecting it for damage and misplacement. The associate will manage the stocking of freight by placing it on rollers, slots, or conveyors, ensuring sufficient quantities. They will monitor freight size, use box cutters to open boxes without damaging contents, and ensure proper freight is received and placed in the appropriate location by comparing labels. The associate will also maintain records by completing production sheets and/or verifying reports. Responsibilities

  • Maintain freight inventory through inspecting freight for damage and misplacement.
  • Manage stocking of freight through placing freight on rollers, slots, or conveyers to ensure sufficient quantities.
  • Monitor freight size and contact designated associate if freight is too large or small.
  • Use box cutters/knives to open boxes without damaging contents.
  • Maintain quality of freight through ensuring proper freight is received and placed in appropriate location.
  • Compare label on freight to label on shelving and compare and verify freight label information.
  • Maintain records through completing production sheets and/or verifying reports.
