About The Position

This position is with the Army Sustainment Command (ASC) located at Richmond, Kentucky. This position serves as Supervisory IT Specialist (PLCYPLN). Performs all the functions of the Director of Information Management (DOIM) as defined in AR 25-1. Duties include directing installation IT programs and services to support depot mission requirements and Army guidance, developing IT policies, plans, and enterprise architecture to integrate essential installation IT capabilities, advising installation leadership on IT strategy and resources to support technology modernization and operational priorities, managing IT security, capital planning, and infrastructure projects to protect systems and improve service delivery, and supervising and developing IT personnel through workforce planning, performance management, training, and employee relations.

Requirements

  • Requires a security clearance and is covered by the Civilian Drug Abuse Testing Program.
  • Incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019-R.
  • Requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter.
  • Requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • Requires a pre-employment and recurring background investigation.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG).
  • A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
  • Complete trainings and obtain certification's as outlined in DoD Pub 8570.01-M and DoDM 8140.03.
  • One year of specialized experience which includes 1) developing IT policies and plans to support mission requirements; 2) managing IT projects to deliver technical solutions; 3) advising leaders on IT requirements to improve service delivery; and 4) applying cybersecurity and performance measures to protect systems and manage risk.
  • Must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
  • Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
  • Requires you to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
  • Requires a 1 year probationary period.
  • Direct deposit of pay is required.
  • Requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
