About The Position

Supervises the front-end registers and refund functions and assists in developing related operating policies and procedures. The position oversees front-end staff and operations, ensures equipment and paperwork are maintained appropriately, supports customers and coworkers, and performs Cashier Checker duties as necessary.

Requirements

At least 1 year of responsible experience in clerical, office, or retail sales store work, demonstrating the ability to perform satisfactorily in the position.
1½ years of progressively responsible retail sales experience performing duties that constitute the principal work of the position.
Candidates must demonstrate through work experience or training that they possess, or have the potential to develop, qualities of successful supervision.
College, university, or junior college study above the high school level may substitute at a rate of one-half academic year of study for 6 months of experience.
At any level, specialized experience may substitute for required general experience.

Responsibilities

Supervise front-end register and refund desk functions, including staffing, scheduling, training, and performance management.
Ensure associates are informed about store promotions, policies, procedures, and programs.
Ensure front-end equipment, including cash registers, is available and properly maintained.
Schedule or conduct training on store policies and the Richter Merchandising System, cash handling, cash register operation, merchandise returns, price matching, check cashing, and rain checks.
Handle customer refunds, returns, and complaints tactfully and efficiently, applying store policies consistently to support customer satisfaction.
Ensure paperwork related to merchandise inventory movement, price adjustments, customer returns, and cash register operation is accurate and complete.
Interact with customers and coworkers in a friendly and professional manner; adhere to NEX dress codes and uniform standards; and assist and support sales team members.
Communicate knowledgeably and legibly with customers.
Perform Cashier Checker duties as necessary.
Make recommendations for improvement.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
