About The Position

Alton Memorial Hospital is seeking a Supply Distribution Supervisor. The role oversees daily supply distribution operations, including planning, organizing, staffing, budgeting, and directing personnel and activities. It manages inventory management and resource planning systems to ensure products are properly utilized and readily available to clinicians and patients, and aligns practices and logistical services with the needs of physicians, management, and the system.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• 2–5 years of experience.
• Less than 2 years of supervisor experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage employees, including hiring, training, assigning work, managing and evaluating performance, and conducting professional development plans; ensure team productivity and actions support department operational goals.
• May participate in developing departmental staffing, revenue, and/or expense budgets and is directly responsible for adhering to budget goals, responding to business changes that may affect those goals.
• Supervise receiving, linen, warehouse, and distribution functions and facilitate the acquisition of supplies, services, and equipment to support clinicians and patient census and demand.
• Represent supply chain for local entity support; serve on committees, attend leadership meetings, and provide supply chain recommendations, communication, and information as requested by customers and hospital leadership.
• Participate in discussions with hospital leadership about lean daily management and provide updates on team performance and execution against service-level agreements, hospital and system KPIs, and goals.
• Manage day-to-day inventory management and resource planning systems to support proper product utilization and availability.
