About The Position

We are looking for an experienced Shipping and Receiving Supervisor, based in Mississauga/Oakville, to oversee, plan and monitor the performance of team members. If you thrive in a high pressure and fast paced environment with supervisory experience then this is the job for you! Plan, organize, and monitor the receiving, shipping, storage, and distribution of all items either from suppliers or production shops ensuring a smooth and consistent operation so parts and supplies are located and distributed to proper departments in an effective and efficient manner as needed to satisfy internal and external customer requirements. Plans and coordinates work, trains and motivates, monitors and evaluates performance of team members; ensures their ability to safely operate material handling equipment to move materials to and from storage configurations. Monitors the unloading or loading of all materials into or out of the facility. Supervise the movement of material to and from storage in an efficient, effective, and safe manner. Identify and eliminate safety and housekeeping hazards to minimize workplace accidents. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Position requires a high school diploma.
  • Experience supervising in an automotive or logistics based industry.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to communicate and deal with a variety of people including internal and external customers, management, and functional departments.

Nice To Haves

  • A college degree is preferred.
