About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring for a split Security Officer and Shift Supervisor position in Durham, North Carolina. The role combines concierge-style customer service with security duties in environments such as office towers, hotels, and shopping centers. The schedule is Security Officer shifts on Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and Shift Supervisor shifts on Monday and Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., for a stated 32-hour shift. The hourly wage is $17.58/$19.65. Uniforms are provided at no cost. Employment is contingent on completing a background check and drug screening after an offer is extended.

Requirements

• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Pass an extensive screening process.
• Have exceptional customer service skills.
• Have basic phone and computer skills.
• Hold a state license if required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome visitors, verify their identity, and guide them.
• Manage access control.
• Conduct regular patrols to identify potential risks.
• Inspect security equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Respond to incidents, provide first aid, and coordinate with emergency teams.
• Answer questions in person or by phone.
• Write incident reports and communicate security concerns.
• Help ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
