About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring for a split Security Officer and Shift Supervisor position at a site in Durham, North Carolina. The role combines customer-facing concierge security work with supervisory shifts. The Security Officer schedule is Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; the Shift Supervisor schedule is Monday and Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., for a stated total of 32 hours. The position emphasizes customer service, building connections, and helping people feel confident and reassured. Duties include welcoming and guiding visitors, managing access, conducting patrols, responding to incidents, and protecting people and property. Employment is contingent on successfully completing a background check and drug screening after an offer is extended.

Requirements

• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Pass an extensive screening process.

• Hold a state license if required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome visitors, verify their identity, and guide them.
• Manage access control.
• Conduct regular patrols to identify potential risks.
• Inspect security equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Respond to incidents, provide first aid, and coordinate with emergency teams.
• Answer questions in person or by phone.
• Write incident reports and communicate security concerns.
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
