About The Position

This position is responsible for maintaining production, quality, and yields while providing the safest working environment possible. The role requires understanding and control of the production process, accurate record keeping, and general line maintenance and staffing. The supervisor oversees processing operations and works with other supervisors to solve problems, while supporting Team Members through communication, encouragement, training, and counseling. The role also involves communicating company benefits and compensation policies to Team Members and providing ongoing education about quality.

Requirements

High school diploma.
At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong communication skills.
Willingness and ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Travel of 1–5 trips per year.

Nice To Haves

Education beyond high school, including special training, vocational school, or college courses.
Prior supervisory experience.
Poultry experience.
Basic computer skills.
Experience with SAP.

Responsibilities

Check daily production orders to ensure customer orders are fulfilled.
Ensure every position is filled before production line start-up.
Oversee Team Member morning exercises and job rotation to support ergonomics.
Ensure machinery is performing to the highest standard possible.
Ensure all workstations pass USDA inspection.
Promote safety daily and through monthly safety meetings.
Ensure shipments are accurate, inventory is rotated, and products are properly coded.
Know and communicate company benefits and compensation policies to Team Members.
Encourage Team Members and help build an effective team.
Perform human-relations functions, including training, retention, and counseling on personal and professional problems.
Oversee processing operations and work with other supervisors to solve problems.
Keep records of reworked or returned product.
Provide continuous education on the importance of quality.
Perform other responsibilities as needed.
Demonstrate responsible use of approved AI tools, safeguard sensitive information, follow company policies, validate AI-generated outputs, and support responsible AI adoption and accountability for AI-supported outcomes as a people leader.
