About The Position

The Supervisor Maintenance is responsible for coordinating all aspects of plant maintenance, leading and directing maintenance technicians, and fostering a well-trained, motivated team. The role assists the Maintenance Manager in directing and coordinating maintenance policies and procedures while maintaining a safe and clean environment. It oversees preventive maintenance and equipment repairs, assesses problems quickly to minimize production downtime, and ensures maintenance employees understand and follow SQF Quality Management policies, procedures, and GMP practices.

Requirements

Associate degree or college program certificate; or at least 3 years of related experience and training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a food manufacturing environment.
Three years of maintenance experience.
Experience directing, evaluating, and training maintenance technicians.
Ability to communicate clearly in spoken and written form and understand spoken and written information.
Basic PLC experience.
Intermediate-level knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Willingness and ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

Supervisor or Lead experience with direct reports.
Experience with SAP.

Responsibilities

Lead, direct, evaluate, and train a staff of 15 maintenance technicians.
Measure, monitor, and reduce machine downtime.
Diagnose basic electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, plumbing, and electronic (PLC) problems and direct or assist with repairs.
Promote a Safety First culture among staff.
Develop and maintain an effective preventive maintenance program for equipment and the plant.
Assist the Maintenance Manager in directing and coordinating maintenance policies and procedures.
Ensure maintenance employees understand and follow company policies and procedures, including SQF and GMP practices.
