About The Position

The Operations Supervisor manages team workflow by assigning tasks, supporting staff, monitoring results, and reporting to senior management. The role promotes safety and operational efficiency through process improvement, team targets, coaching, and issue resolution, and serves as a link between employees and upper management. The position is based in Somerset, New Jersey, and works Sunday through Wednesday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The stated annual salary range is $72,000–$80,000, plus bonus; compensation depends on experience, skills, and education.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with some college-level study.
• At least 2 years of experience in a warehouse supervisor role.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
• Spanish bilingual ability strongly preferred.
• Microsoft Office Suites experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Lean Six Sigma experience is a plus.
• Inventory experience is a plus.
• Third-party logistics (3PL) experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe environment for the customer's product, associates, and temporary workers.
• Follow established operational procedures for verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.
• Provide 100% customer satisfaction.
• Build a positive teamwork environment by listening and communicating with all associates.
• Help maintain attendance and tardiness records.
• Monitor daily compliance with safety procedures.
• Investigate accidents and prepare reports.
• Provide on-the-job coaching and training to maintain associate skills at desired levels.
• Help coordinate vacations, payroll, and time sheets for associates and temporary workers.
• Address complaints and associate concerns, and monitor productivity and work quality.
• Oversee associates.
• Maintain proper Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for a food-grade warehouse.
