About The Position

The Operations Supervisor manages team workflow by assigning tasks, supporting staff, monitoring results, and reporting to senior management. The role promotes safety and efficiency through process improvements and team targets, serves as a link between employees and upper management, and includes coaching and resolving issues. The position is based in Somerset, New Jersey, and is scheduled Sunday through Wednesday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The annual salary is $72,000–$80,000 plus bonus; compensation depends on experience, skills, and education.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED with some college-level study.
At least 2 years of experience in a warehousing supervisor role.
Strong oral and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
Spanish-English bilingual skills strongly preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suites, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Lean Six Sigma experience is a plus.
Inventory experience is a plus.
Third Party Logistics (3PL) experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Promote a safe environment for customer products, associates, and temporary workers.
Follow established operating procedures for verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.
Provide 100% customer satisfaction.
Build a positive teamwork environment by listening and communicating with associates.
Help maintain attendance and tardiness records.
Monitor daily compliance with safety procedures.
Investigate accidents and prepare reports.
Provide on-the-job coaching and training to maintain associate skills at desired levels.
Help coordinate vacations, payroll, and timesheets for associates and temporary workers, and address complaints, associate concerns, productivity, and work quality.
Oversee associates.
Maintain proper Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for a food-grade warehouse.
