About The Position

Nevada Gold Mines is hiring an Underground Electrical/Networks Supervisor at its Goldstrike operations. The role oversees underground electrical equipment installation, maintenance, and repair, and supervises electrical crews and contractors within the electrical department’s area of responsibility. Responsibilities also include supervising the underground electrical maintenance workforce, carrying out construction and electrical maintenance plans safely and productively, performing network and communication maintenance in the mine and on the surface, administering company policies and procedures, and completing other assigned duties. The position requires working a rotating schedule of nights and days.

Requirements

• Eight years of experience working in an underground mining environment.
• Ability to work a rotating schedule of nights and days.
• Willingness to learn and apply new skills to repair all underground mobile mining equipment.
• Strong dedication to safety and courageous leadership.
• Proven safe work history.
• Ability to work effectively with all departments in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• High- and low-voltage power distribution knowledge.
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to perform all essential functions of the position.

Nice To Haves

• Three years of experience with underground networks and communications.
• Formal education in networks and/or communications.
• Strong knowledge and skills in network and communications repair, maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of complex underground equipment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of SAP/EAM.
• Knowledge of conveyor systems, ventilation systems, pumping systems, and communication systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision for the electrical maintenance workforce in the Underground Division.
• Carry out construction and electrical maintenance plans in a safe, productive work environment.
• Perform network and communication maintenance duties required in the mine and on the surface.
• Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of underground electrical equipment.
• Directly supervise electrical crews and contractors working in the electrical department’s area of responsibility.
• Administer company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
