About The Position

Entegris is seeking a Supervisor, Manufacturing Operations for its Advanced Purity Solutions Division at its San Luis Obispo, California facility. The position is responsible for efficiently utilizing resources to meet production requirements for safety, quality, focus audits, cost, on-time delivery, and service. The Supervisor accomplishes these objectives through effective supervision, planning, organizing, problem solving, and teamwork. The Supervisor supports employee training, guidance, and motivation; addresses minor employee conflicts using company values and principles; and provides input on employee performance. The role also oversees production activities, employee development, production scheduling, quality, safety, and continuous improvement. Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Excellent written and verbal skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule.
Experience with control systems documentation.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience as a manufacturing lead or supervisor preferred.
Continuous improvement experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Champion safety programs, processes, procedures, and tools, and ensure workplace safety improvements are implemented.
Participate in and encourage employee involvement in Safety Leadership Team initiatives, company-sponsored safety programs, and 6S.
Supervise and coordinate workers operating machines to manufacture parts and products.
Interview, onboard, coach, train, and develop employees, and conduct timely performance reviews.
Communicate policies, procedures, systems, and other information to ensure compliance and consistency.
Hold daily pass-down meetings to support smooth transitions between shifts.
Maintain accurate time and production records.
Promote PACE values and company policies and procedures.
Analyze and resolve issues, help employees solve work problems, and address employee issues proactively using supportive documentation.
Develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment, performance, and product quality.
Collaborate with Production Team Leads and Production Managers to achieve shared goals and recognize team success.
Collaborate across manufacturing functions to address production issues.
Conduct audits and manage production processes and employees to ensure quality and adherence to established standards, focused audits, and work practices.
Monitor documentation and electronic transactions for accurate work-order and inventory records.
Delegate assignments according to the Gantt chart and training plans discussed in daily production meetings.
Provide accurate and timely confirmations each daily shift.
Work with Schedulers to reduce schedule unevenness and meet on-time shipping goals, and develop action plans for schedule interruptions.
Establish or adjust work schedules to meet production expectations.
Complete production on time while following schedules and policies and minimizing unnecessary downtime, labor, and material-variance costs.
Conduct Gemba walks, develop improvement plans, and hold Kaizen activities to improve production systems, reduce costs, and eliminate waste.
Implement quality improvements for customer corrective actions using 8D problem-solving methods and root-cause evidence for internal concerns and customer issues.
Perform other duties as assigned.
