About The Position

This role involves ensuring safety, supporting the Lab Manager, developing spectrometer programs, conducting measurement studies, and managing non-conformance reports. The position also requires maintaining knowledge of ICP spectroscopy and Wet Lab tasks, supervising workflow, assisting in quality evaluations, developing databases, and supporting Lab Technicians. The employee must adhere to all safety rules and policies to protect themselves and others from hazards and injuries.

Requirements

Associate degree in a science-related field, and/or 3 years of laboratory experience; or a combination of education and experience.
General understanding of PCs and related software experience.
Sound communication, organizational, and analytical skills with the ability to plan work.
Proper use of testing equipment.
Familiarity with ASTM methods.
Must be able to communicate in English for all business/job-related transactions.

Responsibilities

Follow all safety rules and policies to protect themselves and other stakeholders from hazards and injuries.
Act as back-up to the Lab Manager.
Aid in the development of spectrometer programs.
Ensure measurement studies are conducted in accordance with established practices.
Disposition lab-related non-conformance reports as needed.
Maintain knowledge of ICP spectroscopy procedures and Wet Lab tasks.
Assist in supervising workflow, including paperwork, housekeeping, and waste reduction.
Assist in the evaluation of Quality through proper use of work instructions, processes, and procedures.
Development of relevant databases.
Aid Lab Technicians with duties as needed.
Perform any other duties as assigned.
