Requirements

• Associate’s Degree from a recognized college or university.
• Seven (7) years of healthcare experience in a laboratory/Hospital setting (Required or In Lieu of degree)
• 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting (Required or In lieu of degree)
• Seven (7) years of healthcare experience in a laboratory/Hospital setting (Required or in lieu of degree)

Nice To Haves

• MLS - Medical Lab Scientist (Formally MT Certification) Preferred
• MTA - Medical Technologist Certification Preferred
• CPT - Phlebotomy Technician Certification Preferred

Responsibilities

• Designing and managing the work activities related to specimen collection, processing and/or customer service and related clerical responsibilities.
• Organizes plans and directs operational processes, staff scheduling, workflow, human resource issues, staff development, monitors resources, and productivity for all lab support staff including specimen registration, test ordering, collection, labeling, receipt, processing, delivery and archiving.
• Oversees the performance and quality improvement initiatives for areas of responsibility.
