About The Position
Assists in the management and supervision of the BHSF Health Information Management department functions (i.e. Use and Disclosure of Health Information, Analysis of clinical documentation, Record retrieval and Document Imaging, MPI, and TJC activities) ensuring efficient operation for all Baptist Health facilities. Supervises Between 15 and 30 FTES in a busy high volume environment with focus in quality and productivity to meet Health Information Management performance standards. Serves as primary source of support for the Health System with 8 Acute Care Hospitals, All Baptist Outpatient Centers (over 50 locations), and all Ambulatory Surgical Centers. Estimated salary range for this position is $55137.29 - $71678.48 / year depending on experience.
Requirements
- Associate degree
- At least three years supervisory experience in a large healthcare institution required
- Excellent leadership, verbal and written communication, problem-solving and personnel management skills
- Knowledgeable in health information systems, database management, spreadsheet design, and computer technology
Nice To Haves
- Associate/Bachelor in Health Information Management with a Registered Health Information Technologist (RHIT) and/or Registered Health Information Administration (RHIA) certificate preferred
