About The Position

The Supervisor, Clinical Operations supervises and coordinates Clinical Operations team members and clinical activities during clinical trial execution. The role ensures clinical activities are completed in compliance with study protocols, Good Clinical Practices (GCP), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The position also performs clinical trial activities and supports communication, training, quality, and participant confidentiality.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and related job experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Customer-service focus and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Clinical Operations team, including PTO management, timesheet approval, ongoing and annual performance reviews, hiring, disciplinary actions, and termination.
• Oversee, manage, or coordinate training and training records for the Clinical Operations team.
• Proactively assess learning opportunities for the Clinical Operations team.
• Provide direction to team members during clinical trial activities.
• Protect the confidentiality of clinical trial participants and sponsors.
• Maintain and advocate for a high level of customer service and quality within the department.
• Perform clinical trial activities, including data collection, safety measurements, sample handling, and in-house testing.
• Record adverse events and concomitant medication use, and follow up on ongoing adverse events until resolution.
• Maintain ongoing communication with management teams about clinical trial progress.
• Assist with sponsor visits and regulatory audits as needed, and ensure timely resolution of related findings.
• Assist with resolving data queries as needed.
• Participate in SOP and protocol reviews as needed.
• Proactively communicate issues and problem resolutions to departmental supervisors and managers.
• Hold meetings with clinical team members to communicate clinical trial needs and departmental objectives.
