About The Position

The Operations Supervisor oversees production staff and daily shift execution. The role promotes safe work practices, ensures staff understand and are equipped to meet daily goals, provides hands-on support on the production floor, coordinates with supervisors on other shifts, and documents disciplinary contacts. The position is identified as a weekend role.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Six to seven years of related production leadership experience.
• Ability to operate overhead cranes, use a tape measure, and use basic hand and air tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints effectively.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrate the 12 expected behaviors of an actively engaged person: responsibility, trustworthiness, teamwork, clear communication, empathy, humility, emotional self-control, resolving conflict directly, a positive attitude, respect for others, problem solving, and agility.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Exposure to metal fabrication concepts and processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all staff perform their job functions safely.
• Review, approve, and process staff clocking and vacation requests daily.
• Follow up with staff daily to encourage or correct transactions from previous days.
• Communicate directly with staff so they understand and are committed to accomplishing shift goals.
• Ensure staff have the materials and training necessary to accomplish the day's goals.
• Provide direct support on the floor by answering questions and removing obstacles.
• Communicate frequently with supervisors on other shifts, share relevant information, and clarify what the next shift needs to do.
• Document disciplinary contacts as they arise.
