About The Position

Westland Insurance Group Ltd. is growing and has a new opportunity for a Supervisor, Accounts Receivable in Surrey, BC at our Head Office. This is a hybrid role, however we are open to remote candidates anywhere in Canada. The expected hiring range for this role is $71,200 to $89,000 based on a 37.5-hour work week. Actual offered salary will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, as well as market conditions for the role, and internal equity. Requirements

  • Exceptional communication skills, proficient at building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in MS Office environments and ERP systems, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new applications.
  • Post-secondary training in Accounting/Business Administration.
  • 3+ years in AR management.
  • 2+ years in management.

Responsibilities

  • Supervision and handling of all client-related payments nationally across Westland, including in branch payments, electronic payments, financing payments, etc. as well as commissions received by Insurance Companies.
  • Assist in monitoring accounts receivable aging across all business units, reviewing areas of concern where necessary and working with business units to improve aging ratios.
  • Be a key contributor and stakeholder in the ongoing development and implementation of the accounting systems and processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and participating as lead on projects to increase accuracy, efficiency, and transparency of the Accounts Receivable process.
  • Oversee all activities of the Accounts Receivable team.
  • Lead and supervise the AR team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to achieve departmental goals.
