About The Position

Brooks Building Solutions is seeking an Accounts Receivable Supervisor to lead receivables operations supporting commercial construction, HVAC, and building automation projects throughout Florida. This position is ideal for candidates with experience managing AIA billing, pay applications, retainage, lien waivers, collections, and construction payment cycles. The Accounts Receivable Supervisor will partner closely with Project Managers, Operations teams, and customers to ensure timely billing, accurate cash application, and strong cash flow performance.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of Accounts Receivable experience
  • 1–2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience
  • Construction accounting experience, including AIA billing, retainage, and pay applications
  • Knowledge of lien waiver processes and construction payment cycles
  • Strong understanding of collections, AR aging, and cash application
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Sage Intacct or BuildOps preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily accounts receivable operations including billing, collections, and cash application
  • Review AR aging reports and proactively manage delinquent accounts
  • Partner with Project Managers and Operations teams to resolve billing disputes and expedite payments
  • Ensure timely and accurate posting of incoming payments and reconciliations
  • Oversee lien waiver processing and compliance with construction payment requirements
  • Track and resolve discrepancies impacting payment releases
  • Support month-end close activities and AR reporting
  • Monitor cash flow performance and collections effectiveness
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, and internal teams
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance AR efficiency
