The Clatsop County Circuit Court in Astoria, Oregon, is hiring a Supervisor 3. In this role, you will train, coach, and motivate court staff to achieve excellence in efficiency, customer service, work quality, and continual improvement. You will consult with team members on ongoing projects, conduct staff meetings, establish and maintain work schedules, update personnel records, and approve leave and overtime requests while ensuring adequate coverage. You will also assign, review, and evaluate performance, determine training needs, address performance issues, conduct investigations, provide disciplinary action, and escalate issues to the Trial Court Administrator (TCA) as needed. When hiring needs arise, you will assist in preparing job postings, answer personnel questions, participate in interview panels, and make hiring recommendations. Additionally, you will handle difficult complaints and requests for technical information regarding court policies, procedures, and regulations. You will collaborate with and respond to inquiries from judges, court staff, attorneys, agencies, and the public. As a resource to the TCA, judges, and court staff, you will analyze and resolve procedural or workflow issues and monitor case processing timeliness. You will partner with representatives from other government agencies on justice system projects. You will also assist the TCA with administrative duties, research, project development, and providing updates on issues or legislative changes impacting the court. In emergencies, you will be the onsite point of contact. You will serve as a leader by example, collaborator, innovator, and advocate for access to justice. Assigned tasks may be adjusted based on workload and organizational needs.
