Requirements

  • DEC or DEP in industrial maintenance, electromechanics, mechanics, electricity, automation, or related field. BAC in engineering, an asset.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, combined with 1-2 years of experience in supervision and/or coordination.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally high-volume agri-food, an asset.
  • Good knowledge of industrial equipment and preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
  • Experience with a maintenance management system (CMMS/GMAO).
  • Ability to analyze problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Leadership, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Mastery of French and functional English.
  • Occasional availability outside regular hours to support operations.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize and supervise the daily activities of the maintenance team to ensure safety, quality, equipment reliability and support for operations.
  • Assign work, monitor its progress and remove obstacles that may hinder the effective execution of tasks.
  • Develop employee skills through training, coaching, feedback and sharing best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety, environmental, quality, and food safety standards.
  • Manage work orders in the system and coordinate preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities.
  • Ensure the availability of parts, tools, procedures, and resources necessary for the completion of work.
  • Analyze breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement solutions to improve equipment reliability and performance.
  • Monitor maintenance performance indicators (KPIs) and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate suppliers, contractors, and external services while ensuring the quality and compliance of interventions.
  • Supervise the proper functioning of utilities, buildings, and site infrastructure.
  • Identify technical risks and equipment replacement needs.
  • Collaborate closely with operations, quality, HSE, logistics teams, and other stakeholders to support operational objectives and minimize production interruptions.
