About The Position

Walmart is hiring a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to support and oversee repair of refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets in Walmart facilities. The role uses commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete work. The technician uses a work order management system to receive repair orders and document activities, responds promptly to emergency maintenance calls, and inspects, operates, or tests facilities, equipment, and fixtures to diagnose issues. The role requires completing safety training and following OSHA and EPA regulations, Walmart’s refrigeration and HVAC safety policy, and environmental guidelines. The technician must be able to lift up to 75 pounds, use ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in commercial refrigeration and HVAC maintenance.
• Large-scale rack refrigeration experience.
• Type I, Type II, or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record report.
• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and appropriate tools and equipment.
• Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders supporting stores and store associates, and document repair activities.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Perform work in compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines, Walmart refrigeration and HVAC safety policy, and environmental guidelines.
