About The Position

Walmart is recruiting a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to support and oversee repairs to refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets in Walmart facilities. The role uses commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, along with hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment, to complete work. The technician receives and documents repair work orders through a work order management system, supports stores and associates, responds promptly to emergency maintenance calls, and inspects, operates, or tests facilities and equipment to diagnose problems. The role requires completing safety training and performing work in compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and Walmart refrigeration HVAC safety and environmental guidelines. The position requires frequently lifting up to 75 pounds, using ladders, and working at heights. The listed salary range is $56,160–$106,080. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is currently offered for select locations. Individual compensation depends on candidate-specific factors, and the role is eligible for a bonus incentive. Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
Large-scale rack refrigeration experience.
Type I, Type II, or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
A valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record report.
At least 18 years old.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and appropriate tools and equipment.
Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders supporting stores and store associates, and document repair activities.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
Inspect, operate, and test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
Perform work in compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines, Walmart refrigeration HVAC safety policies, and environmental guidelines.
