About The Position

As a SPOTLIGHT Superintendent in Monteith's Special Projects Division, you will manage the day-to-day supervision of field-related construction activities. You will maintain a safe work environment, conduct LEAN planning and construction scheduling, manage cost and quality control, coordinate trade partners, and build strong relationships while ensuring high customer satisfaction. The role also involves maintaining project documentation, keeping project schedules on track, and participating in meetings, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience supervising commercial construction.
Ability to work non-traditional hours.
Excellent organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
Ability to travel.

Nice To Haves

Experience with construction management software such as Procore; this is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain relationships with owners, architects, trade partners, and suppliers.
Ensure projects are performed according to contract and quality standards.
Schedule and direct daily work activities, taking necessary actions to meet project objectives for cleanliness, safety, price, schedule, quality, and process.
Maintain daily paperwork, including timecards, field reports, schedule updates, RFIs, and email correspondence.
Implement project schedules and proactively ensure upcoming events stay on track.
Promote and maintain safety, health, and cleanliness on the job site.
Conduct and attend pre-construction, progress, and other project and staff meetings.
Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.
