Superintendent - Sports & Entertainment
About The Position
The Superintendent will support field leadership on a large, high-profile sports stadium project in Jacksonville, Florida. The role helps manage day-to-day construction activities so work progresses safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project plans. This hands-on, fast-paced position offers field professionals the opportunity to develop foundational superintendent skills and take on increasing responsibility while contributing to a landmark sports facility for the Jacksonville community. Working with project teams, the Superintendent will assist with or lead daily field operations, subcontractor coordination, safety enforcement, and quality oversight. The role also supports site logistics, schedule alignment, and communication between field crews and project leadership. The work is primarily jobsite-based and may involve outdoor conditions and active construction areas. Travel for project assignments may be required based on business needs.
Requirements
- Experience working in construction field operations or a related trade environment.
- Basic knowledge of construction means, methods, and sequencing.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in active construction environments.
- Willingness to learn, take direction, and grow into increasing levels of responsibility.
- Four or more years of relevant superintendent experience.
Nice To Haves
- Coursework or a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Internship or previous experience on commercial or industrial construction projects.
- Familiarity with safety standards and jobsite procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist with opening the jobsite and aligning subcontractor workforce activities with the daily schedule.
- Support supervision and coordination of subcontractors and on-site field labor.
- Help ensure the jobsite is secured at the end of each workday.
- Participate in contractor coordination and planning meetings.
- Enforce company safety policies and procedures in the field.
- Support pre-task planning and job hazard awareness efforts.
- Assist with inspections to ensure work complies with plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- Assist with implementing site logistics plans.
- Help maintain daily progress alignment with the project schedule.
- Support communication between field crews, subcontractors, and project leadership.
