About The Position

The Hospitality Coordinator is a part-time position and has a key role in creating a welcoming, organized, and hospitable environment for everyone who attends and engages with Greenhouse. Under the direction of the Connections and Sunday Director, this position manages volunteer recruitment, training, scheduling, and coordination for various hospitality roles, and plans and executes Sunday hospitality events. This individual should have a passion for people, strong organizational skills, and a heart for service.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in completing various administrative and/or necessary tasks
  • A good level of communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work as part of a team-oriented working environment and to mobilize others as part of a team culture
  • Well-developed computer skills, including demonstrated experience using a range of Microsoft Office products (i.e., Word, Excel, etc.) and additional skills as needed.
  • Demonstrated competence in managing procedures, processes, and resources
  • Excellent time management skills

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, and schedule volunteers for all hospitality roles, including: Sunday morning teams: ushers, greeters, New Here servers, and Welcome Desk servers, Team Leads, Clean-up team, baptism hosts and baptism pastors/elders for both the 9 am and 11:15 am Sunday services
  • Lead the communion preparation team
  • Lead set-up and Tear-down teams
  • Collaborate and communicate with team leads and volunteers to ensure strong engagement and team health
  • Manage volunteer rotations and coverage using the Planning Center platform
  • Complete inventory and ensure all Serve Team Lounge supplies are stocked, prepared, and maintained every Sunday, ensuring that the space is welcoming and clean for volunteers.
  • Maintain a necessary stock of communion elements while ensuring all communion serving trays and utensils are properly cleaned and maintained each Sunday, and the kitchen is reset after use
  • Plan, organize, and oversee the preparation and distribution of communion every Sunday morning
  • Ensure the College Ministry has the supplies they need for communion at the UA every Sunday evening
  • Under the direction of the Connections and Sundays Director, plan, organize, and execute all hospitality elements for key Sunday events, including but not limited to the following events: Monthly Activate/Meal with the Pastors, Easter Sunday, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Fall Kickoff Sunday, Bring Sundays, And other church-wide celebration Sundays
