2027 Summer Student Nurse Intern Program
About The Position
Hartford HealthCare is hiring qualified nursing students for an 8-week, full-time, paid summer internship beginning June 1, 2027. The program immerses students in a specialty area of practice and combines hands-on clinical experience, classroom learning, and professional development while introducing interns to the role of a Registered Nurse at Hartford HealthCare. The program runs 36–40 hours per week. Eligible applicants are nursing students enrolled in a two-year or four-year program who expect to graduate in Winter 2027 or Spring 2028. Students in accelerated nursing programs may be unable to participate if their schedules prevent them from completing the full-time, eight-week internship. Applications are due by January 31, 2027. Applicants must submit a resume, a cover letter addressing their interest in the program and each selected specialty, and one recommendation letter from a nursing school faculty member. Completed applications will be reviewed after the deadline, and selected candidates may be contacted for an interview.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a BSN or ASN nursing program.
- Expected graduation in Winter 2027 or Spring 2028.
- Submit a resume highlighting clinical experience or related work.
- Submit a cover letter explaining interest in the Hartford HealthCare Student Nurse Intern Program and each selected specialty.
- Submit one letter of recommendation from a nursing school faculty member.
- Complete all application questions about specialty interests and location preferences; applications missing required documents will not be considered.

- Flynn Oncology Fellowship is limited to BSN students.
