About The Position

The Finance Summer 2027 intern supports the Accounting Department by participating in its day-to-day activities. Assignments are based on departmental needs and may include data analysis, general accounting or bookkeeping tasks, and preparing documents and spreadsheets. The position may assist Fuel Accounting, Property Accounting, and Revenue Accounting.

Requirements

• Be pursuing an undergraduate or master's degree in accounting, finance, or a business-related field.
• Have a GPA of 2.8 or higher.
• Have general business and accounting knowledge.
• Demonstrate self-motivation and strong analytical and communication skills.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Have excellent organizational skills and a positive team attitude with strong interpersonal skills.
• Be able to prioritize work, handle multiple tasks, and understand the scope and objective of each assignment.

Nice To Haves

• Some work experience is preferred.
• SQL knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the assigned Accounting Department with day-to-day tasks.
• Conduct data analysis.
• Prepare documents, spreadsheets, presentations, interoffice correspondence, and copies.
• Conduct detailed follow-ups.
• Handle multiple assignments and work within deadlines.
• Proactively forward work issues to the appropriate managers or supervisors.
• Work as part of a team.
