About The Position

The Student, Intern Finance position provides experience and exposure to functions within Finance Business Partners, including financial analysis, budgeting, and modeling. Working under close supervision, the intern performs varied assignments and projects with finance employees and groups across Entergy, including distribution, transmission, power generation, regulatory, and corporate teams. Assignments are intended to build analytical skills and familiarity with tools and business processes to identify finance-related problems and develop appropriate solutions. The position is hybrid and based in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree as a junior or senior, or a master's degree, with a concentration in Accounting, Finance, or a similar program.
• Minimum GPA of 2.8.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to multitask and work independently and in a team environment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter with attention to detail.
• Good critical-thinking skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Suite.

Nice To Haves

• Excel-focused Microsoft Suite knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform assignments involving finance principles, practices, and concepts, including financial analysis, budgeting, modeling, and scenario analysis.
• Provide customer service to business partners and internal customers.
• Work on ad hoc requests and continuous improvement projects to support stakeholder requests.
• Understand streamlined reporting and provide insight into ways to improve current processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
